Cookie Policy

1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how TO BRIEF Ι.Κ.Ε. ("TO BRIEF") uses cookies and similar technologies on tobrief.gr and tobrief.eu (the "Service"). Read together with our Privacy Policy, it tells you what we store on your device, why, and how long for. You can accept, refuse, or adjust non-essential cookies at any time via /cookie-preferences.
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser so that you can be recognised on subsequent visits. "Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage, pixels, and SDK events. For brevity we refer to all of these as "cookies" below.
We classify cookies into two practical groups: essential and optional measurement. Essential cookies are always active because the Service cannot work without them. Optional measurement covers Google Analytics 4, Contentsquare/Hotjar UX analytics, the X conversion pixel, and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel, used to understand reading, user experience friction, signups, and conversions. These cookies are off by default and are only loaded once you have granted consent. Your consent decision is recorded in the essential cookie tobrief-consent-v2 so we do not show the banner again for the same browser.
2. Cookies we use

Essential cookies are loaded on every page regardless of consent. Optional measurement cookies are only loaded once you grant consent through the banner or through /cookie-preferences.
3. How to manage your consent
3.1 On this site
Click /cookie-preferences (or the "Cookies" link in our footer) to open the preferences panel. You can grant or withdraw consent for optional measurement at any time. Your choice is saved immediately and takes effect on the next request; we do not set the relevant scripts if you have opted out.
3.2 In your browser
All modern browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
You can also enable Global Privacy Control in supporting browsers; we treat GPC signals as a withdrawal of consent for optional measurement.
Blocking essential cookies will break the Service (e.g. you will be unable to stay logged in or to complete checkout). Blocking optional measurement cookies does not affect access.
4. Legal basis
- Essential cookies are stored on the legal basis of legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) combined with the "strictly necessary" exception of ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3) (Law 3471/2006 in Greece). No consent is required for these.
- Optional measurement cookies are stored on the legal basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) combined with ePrivacy Art. 5(3)). Consent is freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous, and can be withdrawn at any time without detriment.
Where cookies involve an international data transfer (for example, to Google, Contentsquare/Hotjar, Twitter, or Meta), the transfer is handled in accordance with Section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
5. Changes
We review this Cookie Policy periodically. Material changes (new cookie vendors, new categories) will be communicated by re-triggering the cookie banner so that you can make a fresh decision. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent update.
